Transformed model into a state of the art gem
A Class - Crossley Sound Decoder
I haven't fitted the decoder yet, as I currently have no layout, but from what I have seen & heard on Youtube, IRM have nailed it yet again!
There is a good Realistic Sound of what they Sounded like in the Very Early 1960 's As they Began to Be Replaced with more and more General motors Equitemen plus new GM motors Engines The Distinctive Roar From the Crossley Decorder Reminds me of when Some A class locos would pass by on Full power would Shake a Station while the General motors ones would not Cause as much as a Vibration these are memories From a young Child less than ten at the time who is now just Hitting 62 myself well Done potentional Customers make sure you purchase one Before they All Sold and gone for ever you won't Regret go on Give it a whirl buy one James very Satisfied customer
One of the best sounds you can have on a model train. Well done IRM
As I am "starting again" on my layout, haven't had a chance to use this decoder yet. If it is like the "GM" decoders it will be grand. (Had to have a Crossley one for the Crossley A I have). IRM were brilliant to deal with as always.
Excellent service from IRM once again. I placed the order on Thursday night and received the item in Australia on the following Tuesday.
IRM have done a great job with the recordings, and the sound decoder really brings the A Class to life. (I can almost smell the smoke on startup ;-)
This would also be a good decoder to use in a WAGR X Class, if you were so inclined.
Well done to Irish Railway Models for sourcing the sounds to bring us this much anticipated chip! The locos sound great and as always the service from IRM was first class.
I am very happy with the sound produced by this decoder. In my opinion there is a very nice balance between the inside engine room sound and the outside exhaust sound. And with all the other functions it is all in all an excellent product. Thanks for the great work you are all doing in Irish Railway Modelling.
Fantastic gravely sound. So real and impressive. I was almost expecting to smell the diesel fumes.
