A Class Locomotive A3R
in CIE Black & Tan Livery,
as Preserved by the Irish Traction Group

Living out in Aus currently I saw the limited edition A3R offered by Irish Railway Models that supported the Irish Traction Group so I had a lapse of sanity and ordered one (in part to support Irish Traction Group), I have to admit the contact from IRM and the excellent and quick postage to the Antipodes was excellent and when I open the box I was amazed at the presentation and detail.
Taking the loco to my club (Illawarra Model Railway Association near Wollongong NSW) and there with the help of DCC specialists fitted the supplied Loksound chip. The simplicity of the install was fantastic and then what a superb little runner.
Top Marks (however my wallet cries as I now need to buy more stock :p)
Thank you all at IRM for a superb model of A3r and of course the excellent over all package, booklet, design of box etc .
I am delighted to have contributed albeit in a small way by my purchase to ITG and their great work.

Superb model , always liked the dipped black and tan livery. Delighted to support this venture for the ITG , only for them we may not have any running vintage Diesel locos.

An excellent loco. I would have liked to see the roof fan working. Maybe in the future in a C class .
