i bought this model for my uncle in new zealand he loved it so much it made him remember his childhood when the a class first came into ireland. it made. top quality shipping too. got out to him in time

Beautiful! The engine runs perfectly, at high/low speeds.

This is my third A Class, having already purchased an A12 and an A55. I understand the A30 prototype was finished using an aluminium paint, which appeared as silver.
I would like to mention that the East Lancashire Railway (UK preservation group) is restoring a surviving BR Class 28 "Metro Vick" locomotive, and if all goes well the loco will receive a rebuilt Crossley V8 engine, which will hopefully provide a sound source for a sound decoder for your A Class.

A30 - A Class Locomotive - Silver

The Accurascale Irish Models branch has done a superb model of these engines. great to go with their wonderful rakes of superb Irish wagons. The etched parts are amazingly finely made, and the wagons are full of super detailed and printed notice panel areas. This A Class type loco was also produced as a limited wooden boxed edition as # A1 which I missed. These A Class A 30s are still available but limited to under thirty engines left at the time of writing this review. With all Accurascale stock handle them with a lot of care, as they are exquisitely detailed.

Accurascale does a fabulous job once again... simples.

Lovely loco. Excellent detail. Runs really well at low speed. ( I could have used some better advice on how to mount some of the small plastic accoutrements)
