I love my Irish rolling stock and it is great to get new models with different liveries. I've had this one for a number of months and so it was time to write a quick review of #174s. The details, painting and lining are superb on these models. The shape and looks are very well captured by Murphys Models. The colours look spot on and the decals and printing are sharp and well defined. The model runs smoothly and with a steady creep at low speed. Lighting is bright and clear with a bit of flicker at times, but I think that is down to a connection fault, which I will have a look at later, when time permits. Along with variant 181, the 141 is a great looking locomotive Class of Irish railway engines to own.

One beautiful engine in 00 gauge from the IRM. The lining, printing, and painting of the model are exquisite. Clean and sharpe that counterparts all the detailed moulding and separate little parts. The model runs quietly and smoothly around the layout track work. The vibrant orange and white livery is a welcome sight as it trundles past with a rake of coaches to match.
