These bogies are light years ahead of previous efforts to produce an Irish B4. They are the correct overall width and have room to convert to 21mm gauge. They even have built-in pickups for lighting.

Interesting use of 1mm pinpoint split axle stubs - these won't be easily compatible with P4 profile wheels (which are usually 2mm bore), so perhaps some sort of adapter/converter axles are required.

Will be useful as upgraded bogies for Murphy Models Cravens and Mk2s but bear in mind that the mounting methods are completely different, so improvisation is a must. Comparison photos included in this review.

I was really impressed with the bogie packs. Very detailed and very free in motion. Totally recommended.

Bought these as Murphy bogies cannot be converted without major surgery. IRM can be converted to 21mm but fiddly to get gauge right due split axle construction. Any chance you could do axles set to 21mm? Also why are brake shoes moulded to 16.5mm gauge? That said once adjusted and fitted they look great and my Cravens look and run well on the correct gauge.

IRM have been true to their word, they have replaced (at no charge) the bogies from my NIR Mark 2D rolling stock.
