Congratulations to Irish Railway Models

I will revert when I've had a chance to run my A12 loco but what I have seen so far in terms of presentation and packaging and the model itself, is in my opinion really excellent. I cannot claim to have ever driven an A Class Metrovick loco but did once have a short turn at the controls of a AR locomotive many years ago in Sligo, and have walked through the engine compartment of a B201 class, which had just arrived with the Saturday early afternoon down train from Dublin. For the IRM Crossley era models, I look forward to a Crossley engine sound package becoming available in the future.

After being delighted with my A15, I immediately put an order in for the A12. Not disappointed she’s a beauty.

A Class A12 - an instant favourite on the layout

The long wait for the A Class A12 (black and yellow livery) is rewarded! The engine looks great, has a good weight for the tracks and fits in perfectly with the vibrant yellow CIE rolling stock that was waiting for it. Delighted to have it in action but would like IRM to produce some black and tan coaches in the future.

C.I.E. A12

I am actually stuck for words. From the packaging to the actual locomotive I could not find fault. A12 is the black locomotive with the white over the front windscreen and the yellow warning panel below the windscreen. The paint job is only superb. I ran her on my "Gaugemaster" Rolling Road for 1 hour in both directions and at different speeds and not once did she act up. I am now waiting for the "Crossley" sound chip to top this superb off to its full effect. Gentleman you are to be congratulated on bringing us yet again a 1st class model. It was well worth the wait. In my opinion this has to be "The Model of the Year"
